I attended CCS from 2002 to 2004, and then from 2006 to 2013. One of my favorite memories is worshipping the Lord during first-grade chapel with Mrs. Hughes. I’ve had a passion for singing since childhood, and until my recent move out of town, I had the privilege of serving on the worship team at my church in Tallahassee for several years.

Other CCS highlights include attending Space Camp in 5th grade and enjoying “ICEE attacks” that year at Circle K. The trip to Washington, DC in 8th grade was one of the first times I had ever seen snow on the ground. In 10th grade, I completed Senior Leader Training with my fellow cohort known as “The Fab 5.” We were the first group to pass all the training that year.

After graduating high school, I attended the University of North Florida (UNF), where I studied Finance and double-minored in Economics and Community Leadership. During college, the Lord put it on my heart to pursue a career in politics, which led to my involvement in various grassroots efforts. I’m an active member of the Capital Young Republicans and have volunteered on several campaigns. I currently live in Jacksonville, FL, and serve as a Legislative Assistant in the Florida Senate.

I think what stands out to me the most from my time at CCS is the love of my teachers–their love for the Lord and us as their students. What children need most is a love for God and to be well-loved by others, as this endures throughout life. If I lived in Tallahassee and were looking for a biblically based school to send my kids to, there’s no question that Community Christian School would be my choice.
