Secondary Program Assistant

Position Type: Salaried, 30 hours/week (submit timesheet for summer hours)

Position Overview: The SPA at Community Christian School supports the mission of the school by modeling a strong Christian faith, serving as a role model for students and staff, and assisting with daily office operations, special events, and secondary program needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support secondary office operations, including reception, lunch supervision, and occasional classroom coverage
• Assist with graduation preparations (attire, photos, faculty gowns)
• Coordinate and support secondary events (Open House, Science Fair, History Fair, NHS Ceremony, Spirit Week, Parent Nights, Promotion, Graduation, etc.)
• Maintain attendance records and assist with re-accreditation efforts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Strong Christian faith and active church participation
• Excellent communication, organizational, and professional skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Proficient in basic computer tasks (Word, Excel, email, internet)

Receptionist - Main Office

The receptionist position is at the main office in the afternoons, Monday - Friday, 1-3:30 pm, approximately 12 hours a week, starting as soon as possible.

Special Projects Assistant

The Special Projects Assistant (SPA) plays a vital support role in assisting the Head of School (HOS) with a wide range of administrative tasks and strategic projects. These assignments may vary from simple clerical updates to complex, multi-phase initiatives that occasionally involve external professionals and community leaders.  Approximately 10 hours a week - remote work possible.

Substitute Teachers (Grades PreK - 12th Grade)

Community Christian School has immediate openings for substitute teachers to be added to our current pool of available substitutes who serve in our Elementary and/or Secondary classrooms.  Substitute teachers are needed when faculty members are out of the classroom due to illness, etc. Requirements for this position include an AA/AS degree or a comparable amount of training & experience to serve in this capacity.  In addition, we are seeking solid, Christian role models with good judgment, a love for students, and the ability to provide instruction and effectively manage the classroom learning environment.  If you are interested in the position, please complete the Support Staff Application available on our website.  If you have any further questions, you can contact the school at (850) 893-6628.

Applicants for Faculty positions must have the following:

¨      Minimum of a BA or BS degree

¨      Received Jesus Christ as Savior

¨      Clear philosophy of Christian education

¨      Active involvement in a local church

¨      Willingness to work with faculty and administration in the continuous assessment and improvement of student

progress, curriculum and teaching practices

¨      Excellent academic background in content areas, written and verbal communication and mathematics

¨      Ability to use technological tools appropriate to their employment area

¨      Hold or willing to work towards certification with ACSI
