A Message from the Head of School, Tom Argersinger
Dear Parents and Friends of CCS,
I want to share a quick word of thanks today.
We are so grateful to the LORD for His continued provision for the school in so many ways, and for His faithfulness to us over these many years.
For those of you that are new to the school, we were founded in 1977 as a ministry of a church. In the mid-90s, we were able to purchase the current property, and in 2006 to expand our program to include a high school.
CCS has an inspiring story, one that we want to excel at telling over the next few years, especially in light of the 2027–28 school year when we will celebrate our 50th Anniversary!
God has blessed us with a wonderful heritage, a clear mission, and is forming a compelling vision for the next season.
The Board and Trustees and I look forward to sharing more as the days go by.
Through it all, we are convinced that we are here as a result of God’s provision, and if we are here another 50 years, it will be because of His presence, power, peace, promises, provision, patience, and people.
We are His, and He is ours. That is true for you today as well if you are in Christ.
Let me ask you:
Have you given your life to Jesus Christ? All of it? Have you come to recognize your debt to God, and be broken over it? And do you truly realize that you cannot pay that debt, and desperately need the Rescuer, Jesus?
Do you understand that we are here on this earth with a Mission: to be devoted citizens in the Kingdom of God, even as we are also citizens of the world and locale in which we are placed?
These are the crucial questions in life. As you continue your preparations for the fall, know that you are prayed for regularly.
Know too that God has not forsaken you, no matter how bleak things may look. He is there with you in the midst of the fire.
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a Son [i.e., Jesus], and they shall call His name Immanuel, which, when translated, means ‘God with us.’” Matt. 1:23 AMP
Let us strive to live this summer in such a way that we show the world that we believe that verse and have ordered our lives accordingly.
After all, surely we know by now that the alternatives cannot satisfy our deepest longings.
Of course, if we’re honest, it’s also true that we all fail at living for Jesus every day.
So what can we do?
We ask the Holy Spirit, who lives within us, to illuminate the Scriptures as we read and meditate on them every day. And we trust that as we abide in Jesus moment by moment, He will live His life out through us.
And that, my friends, is what makes this crazy life worthwhile, and what makes it work.
See you soon!
For CCS and the Kingdom,
Tom
