A Message from Head of School, Tom Argersinger

Dear Parents and Friends of CCS,

Welcome back! I hope your first week back has been an enjoyable one. We’ve received so many reports of satisfied students and families, and God is once again at work in a powerful way at CCS.

We have begun to press into our theme of “Live the Kingdom”, highlighting God’s sovereign Rule and reign over all of his creation. What a privilege to speak into children’s and young people’s lives every day with this life-giving truth.

Scripture reminds us that “...to the Son the Father says to Him, ‘Your Throne O God is forever and ever, and the scepter of absolute righteousness is the scepter of His Kingdom. You have loved righteousness (integrity, virtue, uprightness in purpose) and have hated lawlessness (injustice, sin). Therefore, God has anointed you with the oil of gladness above Your companions.’” Heb. 1:8-9 AMP

Jesus is the King of all that is. He is in full control of all that happens, and He has full authority in every area. And because He knows us better than we know ourselves, and because He is perfectly good, we can trust that all that comes originates in His Wisdom and passes through His hands to us.

And therefore, we too can be glad in Him!

Brief Update on the Results of Our Spring Fundraiser

I want to express my personal gratitude to the generous donors who responded to our appeal for help with improving our playing field and playgrounds last spring.

With the $65,883 we raised, we were able to work on the following projects:

 Completed

  1. Update the safety of the Primary playground

  2. Remove old equipment from the field area

 Still in progress

  1. Rebuild the soccer goals with frames and new nets

  2. Install a new swingset on the elementary/secondary playground

  3. Install a GAGA ball court on that playground

  4. Install protective netting around the sport court

  5. Upgrade the elementary playground border

  6. Upgrade the Sand Volleyball court with fresh sand and new nets.

As you have no doubt noticed, the prices of many things continue to rise. Unfortunately, the final estimate for renovating the playing field itself exceeded the initial estimates we received by 3x (now $150,000+), and so we were not able to include that project with the others at this time. It remains on our radar screen, though, and we will return to it as soon as possible.

Our Facilities Team will continue to keep you updated as progress is made.

Please join us as we pray for a special outpouring of God this year, one where He will meet those who are struggling with His grace, mercy and love, and will bring many souls into the Kingdom.

It is such a privilege to be called to this amazing school, and I want to thank you on behalf of all of our Faculty and Staff for allowing us to fulfill God’s call on our lives here at CCS.

Now may God richly bless you with His gracious love and truth as you follow Him in the future he has laid out for you.

For CCS and the Kingdom,

Tom
