“Imagine your son or daughter sitting across the table from a future employer, or a leader in their church, or a college admissions advisor and being completely at home in that conversation. Not because they memorized the right answers, but because they have spent years learning to ask the right questions. They listen well. They connect ideas across different fields. They have already tackled a real problem in the real world and done something meaningful about it. They know who they are and what they believe, and they can explain why.

That is the student we are trying to produce at Community Christian School.”
— Dr. Joshua Eller, Secondary Principal

IB MYP International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme

CCS is excited to enter into a relationship with IB MYP!

What is IB MYP?

The IB MYP program is less about preparing students for a test and more about preparing them for a life that requires critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and the confidence to make a difference. It is not a gifted track, and students are not competing with one another to be the top performer in the room. Rather than treating each subject as an island, it weaves disciplines together and asks students to apply what they learn to real-world problems. It is built around ten qualities called the IB Learner Profile, which include traits such as being curious, caring, principled, and reflective. These are traits that CCS has always valued and sought to cultivate in the classroom, and it is now committing to go a step further by partnering with this esteemed program.
