Dear Parents and Friends of CCS,

Who We Are
Question: Will CCS remain committed to being a gospel-centered school in the future, as cultural pressures mount?
Answer: Yes. Our focus on being a thoroughly gospel-centered school (including the Covenantal Model discussed last time) is deepening as time goes by, and by God’s grace and strength and courageous intentionality, we will realize our Kingdom mission and vision of delivering a rigorous, extraordinary Christ-centered education. Jesus is King. He is our authority, and we can know Him through God’s revelation, the Bible.
The Kingdom of God, in simple terms, is the universal rule and reign of Jesus as God and King, manifesting the authority and extent of God’s sovereignty and purposes. This reality results in profound and powerful effects on life and everyday decisions, both big and small.
In general, CCS is focused doctrinally on a thoroughly orthodox Biblical theology rooted in the timeless truth, values, and virtues expressed in the Bible, God’s revealed word to humanity. All of our CORPs members (faculty and staff) receive regular theological training.
The centerpiece of that is the work of Christ on the Cross in rescuing us from our sin, and is rooted in a Trinitarian view of God. It also recognizes and teaches the crucial role of the Holy Spirit in everyday life, and the present reality of the Kingdom of God.
There is a real enemy who opposes the Kingdom of God and those humans who focus on actually living their role as Kingdom Citizens in this world in every sphere of their lives. Therefore, spiritual warfare, as a supernatural reality expressed throughout Scripture, is real, and it has serious implications in the natural world.

Documents:
MISSION: To train up young visionary leaders who are thoroughly prepared to answer the call of God whenever it comes, wherever it leads, and whatever it costs — by developing renewed and skillful minds, strong hands to serve, and burning hearts for Jesus.
LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE: The “end game” of our education is missional graduates, practicing gospel-centered living in all of its applications. We are called to form & forge surrendered Citizens of the Kingdom of God who will identify and achieve True Success by living and working “in but not of the world”, bringing the light, truth, hope & compassion of the gospel wherever they go and excellence to whatever they do.
SOCIETAL PURPOSE: Prepare well for Christ’s sure return by graduating extraordinary Kingdom Citizens who “bloom where they are planted” and improve the sector of society to which they are called, for the good of the people around them and the greater glory of God.
Security Part 2
Question: When will we see the improvements to campus security?
Answer: Security is our number one operational priority. We have set the goal of being the most secure non-public school in the Tallahassee metro area. We are currently taking bids on a perimeter security fence, and hope to begin construction in the next few months.
We are also completing our expanded array of security cameras in cooperation with our security partner Corbin Systems, to enhance our security posture. They will be employed strategically, including at Kings Crossing.
We employ AI-assisted ZeroEyes software to detect guns that are brandished and send automatic alerts to TPD. This software will receive some exciting updates to its alert capabilities for 2026-27. We will share these when they come online.
We are bringing a deep update to our School Emergency Management Manual in the summer of 2026, in cooperation with our law enforcement partners.
Communication
Question: What plans does CCS have to improve communication?
Answer: Central to our communication plan are three things:
Pursuing a partnership with The Taproot Agency and with FRAME that will reintroduce CCS to the broader Tallahassee community, and update our web presence and overall presentation quality in preparation for our 50th Anniversary Celebration in February 2028.
Launching a new app called Parent Square in Fall 2026 that will allow families to stay more connected to all things CCS.
Launching an ongoing series of in-person coffees with CCS leaders in Fall 2026.
Communication is central to the long-term Impact Partnerships that we are seeking to build with families who are aligned with our Kingdom ethos. Communication will always require a speaker and a listener. We can’t make people read or listen, but we can make it more intuitive to do so.

I understand that these answers may simply engender more questions. Please make plans to attend the State of the School gathering at 6:30 pm on May 12, where deeper answers will be shared and live Qs will be taken from the in-person audience.
It’s my prayer and hope that our layered approach to providing answers will, over time, paint a clear picture of the realities that make CCS who we are, as well as where we hope to go in the Lord’s perfect timing and provision.
For CCS and the Kingdom,
Tom
